Bruno Vellas is the founder of IHU HealthAge (Toulouse University Hospital Institute, France), dedicated to healthy aging, prevention, and geroscience.

President of the Gerontopole & Department of Geriatric Internal Medicine at Toulouse University Hospital, he is a member of INSERM UMR 1295 and founder of the Gerontopole to develop innovation and research for the elderly.

Adjunct Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque (New Mexico, USA), he is also president of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Frailty, Clinical Research, and Geriatric Training since September 2017.

Former President of IAGG, he chairs the scientific committee of “Grand Âge” and is coordinator of the INSPIRE program in the field of Gerosciences.
