With over 20 years of international experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, Dr. Volker Herrmann joins REGEnLIFE to lead its next strategic phase: transforming a French innovation into a global industrial and commercial success. This appointment marks a turning point for the company, which, since its founding, has relied on a proprietary, patented technology that is unique in the world: photobiomodulation that simultaneously
targets the brain and the gut through the controlled emission of near-infrared waves. This innovative approach opens new possibilities for addressing major public health challenges, particularly in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease.

A French medtech company going global

Since 2016, REGEnLIFE has developed a breakthrough technology that is currently being evaluated in the pivotal Light4Life clinical trial for Alzheimer disease and deployed in more than six clinical centers in France. In addition, the medtech company is pursuing the short-term goal of obtaining CE marking to treat concussions.

It is against this backdrop that Dr. Volker Herrmann is taking over as CEO of the company. His mission will be to provide a global strategy for the company to develop the company to meet its great potential and to prepare the organization for the commercialization of its medical device in the European and international markets.

Dr. Volker Herrmann succeeds Dr. Patrice Cristofini, who, having led REGEnLIFE for several years, has guided the company to this key stage in its clinical development and financial structuring. A physician by training (Albert-Ludwigs Universität Freiburg) and holder of an MBA (University of San Diego), Dr. Volker Herrmann has built his career at the intersection of research, clinical development, and commercial strategy, within global pharmaceutical companies and innovative biotech firms:

● Pfizer (1999–2015), Several executive leadership roles including General Manger of
Integrated Health Business Unit, Global leader Pain franchise and responsible for
global strategy, business development, and global marketing for the Vaccines division.
