Neurodegenerative diseases share a devastating mechanism involving severe neuroinflammation and disruption of the axis linking the brain to the enteric nervous system. It is on this medical observation that the technology developed by the Montpellier-based company Regenlife is based. The start-up has designed a headset and an abdominal belt that emit targeted infrared waves. “We are modulating inflammation in these two nervous systems,” explains Guillaume Blivet, co-founder and head of innovation at the company.

This device stimulates cell production. This scientific project is based on a multidisciplinary collaboration involving numerous researchers. These experts are combining their expertise in optics, photonics and neuroscience to offer a credible therapeutic alternative for severe neurological conditions.
